Happy Birthday Mom

Happy Birthday to you Mom.

May is birthday month at our house. My mothers is first on May 6. Today she is 88. I am grateful for her. She had a hard job raising my brother and me alone. She always kept everything going. From working 40 hours a week to keeping up with the house, meals and clothes. The two of us gave her a few challenges. She pour many hours of blood, sweat and toil into our lives. She gave us a good work ethic and values to live by. Having her birthday so close to Mother's Day, it was hard to figure out two present for her because always said she didn't want anything. She is the one who gave me a love for flowers. Most of the perennials I have today came from her flower bed. Happy Birthday Mom. Thank you for being my Mother. I love you.

Mom's baby picture at about six months. I love the sepia color. The smile on her face is prceless in that adorable dress. What a doll. She is a cutie.

This is her baby bed and it is 88 years old today. What a joy to still have around after all these years.

Resurrection Sunday

Resurrection Sunday is always a special day to me. As I think of the ultimate price Christ paid on the cross of Calvary. I rejoice ' He Lives' and as the song says “I know He lives. He lives within my heart. “ Thirty five years ago on April the second became my spiritual birthday. That is when He became my Savior. I am thankful that I became part of His family and 'He Included Me'.
Wayne's poem

Christ Lives
It was early in the morning
that to His tomb they would arrive,
Not thinking at all their
Lord was alive.

They carried spices with them there
So heavy in heart, and much sorrow to bear.
And so as they came at the dawn of the day,
two angels stood there,
and rolled the stone away.

And this was their message,
“Fear not, don't be sad.”
“Christ He is risen,"
“Rejoice and be glad!”

Now go tell the others
that they might come and see
That the grave could not hold Him,
For He has been set free.

And this is the hope we still have today,
For death has been conquered,
And Christ is the way.

He lives still today
this truth we proclaim.
So accept Him by faith,
And believe on his name.

The Pink Egg

The Pink Egg

When I started by Blog I ask my Grandchildren if they wanted to write something for me to put on my blog. Last month Josh wrote this. I am putting it on today in honor of his birthday. Thanks Josh.

The Pink Egg
The Pink Egg There was a pink egg . And it hatched !! It was a goose. It is a goose? Years later there was a boy named Jim. He raised thegoose. He taught the goose to be good . And his favorite food was gooseberries. And his favorite drink is grape juice. His favorite color is blue. The goose didn’t know what to do. He went to the store. He didn’t know what it was. And he went to the church. He didn’t know what to do. He went to the park. And he played. And that was close to his house. So he went home. And he played for a long time. It was bed time. So he went to bed. And in the morning he went to the train station. Then he went to the lake. He swam and then he went home. He had a problem he couldn’t find his bear he looked under his bed he didn’t find it. He looked in the living room he didn’t find it. He looked in the bathroom and there it was. It was 7:35.That was bedtime. So he went to bed.

The End

I didn't know what blogs were or how to find them. I started talking to a friend about her new blog. As, I looked at hers and others, the bug bit me and I got hooked. So here I am doing my first post.
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." Philippians 4: 4
I want to ask the Lord to bless this journey.
